Next Step- Sawing through our van for a window??!!?!?!

We decided to jump right in and cut through our van walls to put in our first window. First step is drawing the template on a piece of cardboard and then tracing that onto the inside wall of the van. We carefully measured over and over again to be sure the window would be centered over the sink. We also made sure the height was right with our plan. Once we were sure, we cut a small hole in the center top of where the window would be. Then we used that hole to trace our template on the outside of the van. We did more measuring to be sure everything was level (can't use a level because we weren't parked on a completely flat, level place). We then taped around the lines so that the saw would jump less and not scratch the van (it still jumped a little!), and finally used the jigsaw to cut through the van wall.

We used a window primer and urethane glue and more masking tape to hold the window in place while the glue dried. We also used tie downs to really pull it into place. Thankfully, success!
